# Me

The Elevate A/B Testing External API /me endpoint returns the store, plan, and currency for a key, so you can quickly check that a key works.

```http
GET /me
```

Returns the store the key reads, its Elevate A/B Testing plan and its currency. It takes no parameters and is the quickest way to check that a key works.

## Response

```bash
curl https://elevateab.app/api/external/v1/me \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
```

```json
{
  "success": true,
```

## Worth knowing

{% hint style="warning" %}
**A `401` here means the key itself is wrong.** Check it is the External API key, and that the header reads `Authorization: Bearer` followed by the key.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use it in a health check** before a batch of heavier calls: it is the cheapest request in the API.
{% endhint %}
